The long awaited entry level iPhone gave a hint to the project as the iPhone 9 might actually come with an exceptional name in accordance with the latest rumors. It means the company is sorting out some good news for its customers.
A report asserts that the official marketing name for the new device will barely be iPhone SE with Apple mentioning it as the 2020 version. No doubt this is a move to the first-gen iPhone SE from 2016 and an ordinary custom in Apple’s naming policy.
According to a speculation, the new iPhone SE 2020 will be announced on April 15 as given leaks.
Ensuring the leaks, a screen protector recorded on Apple’s official online stock also assures the iPhone SE moniker and indicates at the imminent launch. The original protector is also said to fit iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 models as well which accommodates the modern device will sport a uniform 4.7-inch display.
According to the rumors, the forthcoming iPhone SE 2020 is expected to have a similar design of iPhone 8. There are also rumors for a larger 5.5 inch version of this 2020 version though we don’t have any specific info yet. It might be named iPhone SE Plus.
The iPhone SE 2020 will have the beast A13 bionic chipset that was planted in the iPhone 11 series. Leaked codes in iOS 14 also mentioned that it will retain a Home button with Touch ID fingerprint scanner and big bezel designs as iPhone 8 .
The previous report detailed that the iPhone SE 2020 will offer 3GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage trims. New reports mention that it will feature up to 256GB storage.
More on the leaks, we find the new entry level phone will launch in three gradients – Black, White and Red finish.
However, not only the colors, but also we heard about confirmation on the five official Apple cases for the upcoming device. The cases will include Black and White silicone cases alongside Red, Black and Midnight Blue Leather configurations. More minor updates might include a new Liquid Crystal Polymer antenna design, which will feature fresh cellular performance.
The reports confirmed that the price is expected to start at 399$. We assume that the device is likely aimed to replace the gap of the original iPhone SE. We hope to see it go official soon.
