While the giant companies like Samsung, Motorola and Huawei are emphasized on making foldable phones, the technology world still has so many widespread adoptions. LG is focusing on dual screen penetration to call for a new initiative. So as the thinking, LG introduced a new smartphone of V series that’s supposedly aimed at the likes of Samsung’s Note line up. The next generation dual screen phone is LG V60 ThinQ 5G, such cogent work from the Korean firm following its predecessor V50.
LG has released LG V60 ThinQ 5G on February 26, 2020. It has been available at the store from March 20, 2020. The company said that LG V60 ThinQ 5G consists of exactly what you would expect from a flagship phone in 2020 and a genuine successor to last year’s V50 ThinQ.
The LG V60 upholds a smart step by LG in an attempt to compete more effectively in the market. Under the hood, the handset is stored with the newest Qualcomm chipset, Snapdragon 865 and generated by 2.84GHz Octa core processor based on Android 10. The phone appears to be hoarded with 5G connectivity in one variant, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. That storage system manifested with UFS 2.1, which is disappointing considering most companies have moved on to the faster UFS 3.0. Gladly, there is MicroSD support of upto 2TB. To offset the battery drain of dual screen setup, a 5000mAh battery promises to keep the V60 ThinQ 5G on for a long time, and Quick Charge 4+ keeps charge times down. A USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack are on the bottom. Stereo speaker sound comes from the bottom and up above the display.
On the handset, you’ll find a 6.8inch 2460×1080 P-OLED display with 83.6% screen to body ratio. The fascinating OLED display is flat with a slight curvature at the edges and thick bezels are shaped around the four sides. The phone is built in with glossy glass finish. Unlike other flagship phones of this year, LG implicated 60Hz screen refresh rate instead of 90Hz or 120Hz. Additionally, the phone is confronted with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at front, Gorilla Glass 6 at glass, and support of HDR 10+, Always on display functions.
On the display, the experience has been improved for the V60 ThinQ 5G. The unique thing about the V60 is the accessible dual screen. The dual screen adds a second display identical as the primary one under the notch. LG used the same panel which allows the same color calibration between the screens. A major feature of the dual screen is the ability to use the second display as a gaming controller.
LG has designed so many innovations on the V series over the years. The camera bump is refrained from square shaped. A dual camera setup is positioned horizontally. A 64MP primary sensor with OIS optimization and 13MP ultrawide where it assists 117 degree field of view with TOF 3D lens included. A 10MP front facing sensor is housed on the top of the display. It fits in the notification bar which is barely noticeable.
LG V60 ThinQ is caused to be widely known by two colors, Classy Blue and Classy White.
