While we kept learning about affordable 5G smartphones in 2020, Xiaomi dropped a grenade yesterday. Xiaomi has released its latest flagship smartphones, with the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro joined by Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G with an unexpected low price tag. The trio unveiled via live streaming from Xiaomi.
As it was expected, the Xiaomi Mi 10 series debuted globally on March 27, 2020. The Mi 10 Lite looks like it is going to be a solid midrange offering. Let’s hear about it.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G is the modest member of its series. The lite version will be different from its premium Mi 10 models but it will carry the same flagship spirit. The phone advantages to be more affordable with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset and integrated with 5G modem, clocked at 2.4GHz processor, based on MIUI 11 operating system. The phone will have equipped LiquidCool tech.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G will measure a 6.57inch AMOLED screen of 19.5:9 ration with an in- display fingerprint sensor. Weighing at 192 grams, it will be a lighter phone from Xiaomi’s latest offerings. Xiaomi also switched up the notch design considering the premium models. The water drop notch is placed within the top edge of the screen.
Photography is the main headline to highlight the phone. The quad camera array is bulky to show up the lenses. The quad camera on back will feature a 48-megapixel wide angle primary sensor. The camera arrangement continues with 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, 5-megapixel for macro mode and 2-megapixel for depth sensor. The quad camera is housed in a square shaped module with the same usual assortment of software photography features. The notch at front makes room for a 16-megapixel selfie snapper which is a classic camera at this moment.
Xiaomi mentioned earlier in the launch that the phone will run on Android 10, fueled by a 4160mAh battery with decent 20W fast charging. It will charge via USB Type-C cable. Anyway, they said that you’ll have choices of buying the device in three shades- White, Grey and Green.
The device will go sell in two configurations- 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configurations.
