Motorola is an American multinational telecommunication company which has ruled mobile industries an age ago. It’s been some time since Motorola released some flagship phone with flagship specs. Now Motorola is willing to come back with a premium flagship phone in the global market. Motorola named it “Motorola Edge Plus” which is the latest offering of this company.
Motorola Edge Plus is expected to be launched in April, 2020.
As per the leaks, Motorola Edge Plus will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 SoC and 2.4GHz Octa core processor. It will have an Adreno 650 GPU processor. The phone will be running on Android 10. It is the latest offering of android to smartphone companies. The phone features a massive powerhouse of 5170mAh battery which should hold a solid backup throughout the day. It supports USB type C, version 3.1.
The forthcoming Motorola Edge Plus will have a 6.67inch Dynamic AMOLED screen which will have curved edges. Motorola is calling this display as “Waterfall Display” to make it unique. The display is packed with HDR10+ support and Quad HD+ resolution. The display is expected to have an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone supports 90Hz refresh rate which should keep scrolling text looking sharp while games and video quality should also get a boost up. Motorola will make sure to have the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and IP68 rating of dust and water resistance in Edge+. Thankfully, Motorola Edge Plus will be coming with a quite small punch hole camera at top left of the display. The phone is rumored to have a stylus pen and in that case, Motorola is looking to provide some competition for Samsung’s Galaxy Note lineup.
According to render leaks, Motorola Edge Plus will have a triple rear camera array arranged in a vertically aligned setup. The primary sensor is a 108MP wide angle shooter where it is assisted by an 8MP telephoto lens. The telephoto lens has the optimization of 3x optical zoom. The camera setup also adds a 16MP ultra-wide shooter in the camera setup. It will consist of DUAL-LED flash at rear setup. Furthermore, the phone will feature a 25MP front facing snapper with video recording and HDR support.
Motorola Edge Plus is rumored to have the base variant of 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB internal memory. It has the support of a microSD slot. Furthermore, the leaked renders of the Motorola Edge Plus shows a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top of it which is adored by all consumers. The phone will have the flagship feature of under display optical fingerprint scanner which is measured as blazingly smooth. Besides the headphone jack, it is going to have the support of Wi-Fi 802.1, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC available.
Motorola states that Motorola Edge Plus will be rendered in two colors, Blue and Burgundy.
