Since the release of Pocophone F1 about two years ago, a lot of rumors have heaped up in the radar about Poco F2. As Poco is now an independent brand, Poco is planning something for its customers in 2020.
Rumor says Poco will hit the unveiling session with Poco F2 series for the first time as an independent brand. However, there is leaked news of two devices, the Poco F2 Pro and F2 lite. These are not confirmed leaks, anyway.
A YouTube channel called RevAtlas claimed a few leaks of Poco F2 Lite, holding three photos on the video with some specs.
The phone is reportedly to be generated by Snapdragon 765G chipset, which is a midrange chipset. The chipset will be paired with 6GB RAM and 5,000mAh battery. Besides, it will be featuring cameras with high resolutions. No further information has been leaked.
However, the question keeps coming. The Snapdragon 765G is manufactured inside the Redmi K30 5G, which isn’t a lite model. This doesn’t make sense, does it? When you look at the second leak, Poco has been calling for a certification, bearing a model number of M1912G8BI, which is a 4G version of the Redmi K30 and the Redmi K30 appeared with Snapdragon 730G.
However, if Poco has a “Lite” model incoming, then there might be a new chipset integrated with 5G modem.
Additionally, the phone we see in the pictures shows a teardrop notch on the front for selfie snapper, this replaces the dual punch-hole cutout that we have seen in Redmi K30 devices. In general, related devices don’t appear with much differences in both software and hardware sections.
However, considering the email, Poco will be unveiling three new models this year. Looks like the phones will emerge on Redmi K30 models. Besides, the third phone might be a flagship device with the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset.
One thing to say is that don’t consider the leaks, mentioned-above, as gospel. Still so much news to come from Poco. Stay tuned for that.
