The Redmi Note 9s runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor which is also featured on other phones of Note lineup. Xiaomi claims that the Snapdragon 720G performs up to 57% better than the Exynos 9611 in the Samsung Galaxy A51. And its Adreno 618 GPU is said to be 90% faster than the A51’s Mali-G72, at least in benchmarks.
On the battery section, the Note 9S is generated a 5,020mAh battery that supports 18-watt fast charging using the knotted USB-C charger. Xiaomi proclaims that the battery has the assets of 20.5 days of standby time, 26 hours of video playback, and 11 hours of PUBG Mobile gaming on a single charge, which is an engrossing wager considering how much battery the game drains.
Just like the other phones of the Redmi Note 9 series, Redmi Note 9s is built around a 6.67inches IPS LCD screen with 1080 x 2400px resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi claims the screen-to-body ratio is 91%, while the bridge is up to 450nits brightness with full HD screen support. Unfortunately, the phone comes with a 60Hz refresh rate which is a less tough competition to push forward. The screen is also tiered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection and peace of mind. The back of the phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 as well and the rear setup of the lens also gets the same protective glass. The phone also gets splash resistant from water damage.
Unlike the Redmi Note 9 Pro, the Redmi Note 9s is a phone to offer a quad camera layout with square shaped camera bump.
