Xiaomi is hedging to keep the clam of helm among the mobile industries. It seems that Xiaomi’s offshoot is going to add more members in its portfolio. Redmi 9 is about to be the new upcoming phone from Redmi. The Redmi 8 has been around 6 months now which means a new replacement is due. Apparently, A few rumors of Redmi 9 have gleaned up high in the sky to show us what the replacement is going to be like.
Xiaomi is preparing for several launches of phones. Redmi 9 might be one of them. The phone’s launch is yet to be confirmed by Xiaomi’s sub brand. However, an alleged photo by a tipster and tweets talk about the phone. Let’s hike.
The successor of Redmi 8 seems to have gone by the wayside. It’s destined to rock the concrete floor with MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. MediaTek has claimed via sources that the Helio G80 chipset is well knotted for AI-cam tasks such as object recognition via Google lens, Smart Photo Album as well as enhancements of bokeh categories.
The phone is rumored to be an entry level device. In addition, the camera setup looks familiar to the recently launched Redmi k30 series. The rumored image shows that the circular housing model aligns the quad camera setup. The source talks of the modules as a 13-megapixel main camera which might be assisted by an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter and a 5-megapixel macro unit, plus a 2-megapixel for depth sensor. We’ve speculated on the image that the three cams are aligned vertically as Redmi k30 style, with the depth module relegated to the right side keeping the flash company.
The configuration of cams is conceptually familiar to another low-end device from Realme, the Realme 6i that recently hit the market. On comparison, Realme 6i beats the Redmi 9 when it comes to camera factors, the main camera (48MP vs 13MP), but it loses bet in the macro unit (2MP vs 5MP), and both are tied with the ultra-wides and depth sensors. Anyway, both phones have the same powering chipset- Helio G80. If Xiaomi is calling this low-end bet for Realme 6i, they might lose the bet.
As earlier mentioned, Xiaomi’s offshoot is yet to confirm the launch of Redmi 9. One thing we came to know finally that the Redmi 9 is rumored to have at least two colors options; the shade of purple along with the trendy green shade.
