It seems Xiaomi has taken an oath to keep introducing new phones with almost similar specs day by day. In the following year, Xiaomi announced three phones of the Redmi Note 9 series back in March, and three more Redmi Note 9 phones followed the similar footprint in November.
The trio from November was dedicated to the local market, China. And the Chinese brand can launch them globally under a new name per device.
Recently, Google Play Console showed up two listings that included Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power and Xiaomi Mi 10i, which currently matches the model numbers of freshly launched Redmi Note 9 4G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.
The brand surely won’t reannounce the Redmi Note 9 4G with the same name as it has already been sold around worldwide under this name. It will follow the Power’s footprint just because of a simple reason, what we thought – this Redmi Note 9 4G is the first device from Redmi to bring a 6,000 mAh battery along with an 18W fast charge and 2.5W reverse charging support.
The brand’s department is right off the bat now with its naming system of the devices. Now, in the mobile industry, we saw over a dozen phones of Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 9 in similar specs, and now more are approaching the market.
Let’s pray that this naming system doesn’t create any more difficulties for the customers or else eventually people will end up getting the wrong handset.
